After scriptures one night, Jessi noted that Easter came on a Fast Sunday this year. Then she suggested that perhaps the Easter Bunny could wait till after church before coming??? Wonderful idea, smart girl!
Since Easter was also Fast Sunday, it also meant that we had Fast and Testimony Meeting. A chance to bear testimony of the Savior on Easter Morn – yes, please! I do not like standing up in front of tons of people and talking, but for my Savior I will. I was so grateful to bear my testimony of why I am grateful for Easter, for my Savior – that He has over come death, and with that I will see my son again! – that He has made it possible for all of us to be resurrected, and I talked a little of the taste we have had of the joy of the resurrection because of Bella. She has been through so much, but with these last few surgeries, my baby can walk – she can dance! The joy she feels is palatable! How I treasure it! - that He suffered the Atonement, and now we are never alone! For all of those months when we were alone in the hospital with Bell, no one understood what we were going through – but He did! He understands our struggles. He knows how we feel. He understands. He gets it. And He is always there for us. - and finally that if we want it, nothing can keep us from returning to our Father now. He has paid the price for our sins. We can be clean and go home. How grateful I am for my Savior! He makes everything wonderful in my life possible! I love Him and I’m so grateful for these beautiful gifts!!
