Our boy is doing well. He is doing great with his cane – so proud of him!
He still is extremely oral. He loves that binky! He prefers sucking to chewing, hence the binky rather than the chewy toy (although he has several of those).
We visited the U of L Autism Center, and shocking! - he’s still Autistic (sarcasm in case you missed it). It was raining as we went in. Brother LOVES the rain. He hasn’t figured it out yet, but he thinks it’s cool!
We adore his therapists – they go out of their way to adapt things for him. Here he is working on animal sounds and matching textures. He is such a smart boy – very analytical.
He loves to spin – this is a spinning board. At home he spins to music. He goes so fast!
One of his new loves is balls! He loves to listen to them bounce and he chases them and throws them again – such joy!
He loves to swing, to jump, to play in water. (and he usually does wear pants – ha!)
He loves water – baths, showers, running water, feeling water. He loves it all!
Music is his other love. Those two things will stop a meltdown fast!
He loves to have air blown on his face. His laugh melts my heart!
He still likes to cuddle up with people to go to sleep. Here he had decided he was sleepy and wandered into Joy’s arms who was happy to cuddle with him.
He still wakes up in the middle of the night (most nights) and finds our bed. Somehow he wiggles his way in between Jason and I every night. He loves human contact.
School is pleased with him. He is doing well there. He loves his school. He knows the routine. He knows what is expected of him.
So proud of my Alex. Love you Brother!
