Silly me – I always anticipate the beginning of summer with such enthusiasm! We’ll be able to sleep in! We’ll have so much time!
What fantasy world do I live in? We have reduced our therapy for the summer down to thirteen sessions a week. There are still music and swim lessons.
Oh well. One day I will be able to sleep in till my body wakes up naturally, but I’m sure I’ll wish that I was back here living this life.
Sunday Brother was blessed. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins were there to hear Brother’s blessing. And what a blessing! Oh my goodness! I was shocked and blown away by the promises given to this little boy. A mission, marriage, being able to do the things others do with assistance from others and technology. So thankful! Jessi also gave her first talk in Sacrament Meeting. She spoke about how the priesthood blesses our lives. She gave a sweet talk on the blessings she has received and the ordinances she has participated in. She ended her talk by talking about Brother’s sealing. Very nice.
Monday morning Becca took off to Iowa. Two weeks to spend with her grandparents. So much is changing for this one.
Meanwhile therapy and baking continue at our house.
Look at Brother’s newest trick – he is trying to stand up – all by himself!!! He’ll get up there for about 5 seconds. So exciting!
I ordered Bella two new Signing Time videos – she screamed! She was so excited!!
I got Joy an ID bracelet. It has our phone number on the back. It makes me feel a little safer.
FHE games – Jenga and Apples to Apples
Cyndi took Sammi shopping for a new wardrobe. We got to spend the day with Michael! So fun!
Our sweet boy
Look who’s hair is FINALLY long enough for a pony tail!!
Hanging out
Love that they are old enough to do big jobs for me now – cleaning out the fridge!
Playing with boxes
Painting, loving, and playing in the water
Wednesday Joy and I spent time downtown visiting her ENT. Her snoring and sleep patterns have gotten to the point that it’s time to remove those tonsils and adnoids. July 30th she and I will be at TCH. Here’s hoping for a quick recovery!
Friday Sammi and I spent all day downtown. It’s amazing how much a label does and does not change things. Time to learn all about the world of asperger’s syndrome. My sweet Sammi is still the same person she has always been. Now we move forward to help her be the very best she can be!!
Saturday Lizzy and I spent 8 hours at her swim meet. She won three of her heats. I’ve enjoyed the time to be one on one with her.
For Father’s Day, Jason got himself a pellet gun. Lizzy loves to do target practice with him.

Father’s Day morning – thanks Jas for all you do for us! We love you!!
