Matthew 11
28¶aCome unto me, all ye that blabour and are heavy laden, and I will give you crest.
29Take my ayoke upon you, and blearn of me; for I am cmeek and dlowly in eheart: and ye shall find frest unto your souls.
30For my yoke is aeasy, and my burden is light.
We studied this passage in Sunday School on Sunday. Have I mentioned lately how grateful I am for my Savior? Last weekend I discovered some things on Bella’s body that said cancer to me. I was so scared. But I didn’t call anyone or talk to anyone about it. Instead I prayed, a lot. But not for healing. Just those prayers I used to pray – the ones with no words. The ones where you know that your God reigns in the Heavens and all you can do is open a small portal to that world and listen and feel. I couldn’t pray that she would or wouldn’t have cancer. What was going to be, was going to be. But I knew that He would be there with us each step. I hoped it wasn’t cancer. I hoped we weren’t going to upend our family again with another prolonged hospital experience. I simply prayed so that we could get through. Because whatever happens, I know He’ll be there and I’m so grateful for that knowledge. So very, very grateful.
Sammi sent us off to TCH on Monday with pop tabs and chocolate chip cookies for the Ronald McDonald house. Jason went with me to the doctor’s. It wasn’t until Wednesday that I knew for 100% that sweet Bella does not have cancer. That was a long five days.
Tuesday night Jason and Becca went to the cannery. We are working on that food storage! Our Bishop feels very strongly about it right now. He says we need to be prepared. So we are trying.
Sammi is loving her study of botany – we have learned so much!
Garden Club – they cleaned out the beds and planted tomatoes. Here she is next to the tulips that are coming up. The librarian gave Joy some bubbles that Sammi blew for Joy. She loved them!
Becca and I made jambalaya. It was really good!
Thursday was our Fire Inspection. We passed. I am grateful. I’m not sure this home study process is ever going to be over.
Friday Becca had a get together with some girls from church.
Playing around
Wednesday and Friday morning we took a friend's little boy to preschool. Joy and he go to the same preschool. Joy loves little boys. She followed him around everywhere! Having him around made me miss her twin brother so much.
Pizza night!
Jason worked on getting a perimeter built around the swing set. We are going to order kiddi mulch to put under the swing set. He had to use the chain saw to cut those big roots out of the way. It’s going to be nice!
Becca and I went coupon shopping. We had a lot of fun! At Kroger we saved $165. Pretty cool! Sammi went to Linda’s and made this beautiful cake.
Cute girls!
