Monday – Becca stayed after school to help set up for Regional Orchestra. I was impressed. Her friends had signed up for a later time slot than she, but she chose to do the earlier slot so she could be home for Family Home Evening. I thought that was good. Was it a coincidence that the lesson was on sacrifice?
Jessi was chosen as the student of the week in her class – yeah Jessi!
Watching the computer scroll through old random pictures – we do love it!
Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday Bella and I spent down at Texas Children’s Hospital seeing doctors, doing tests, and seeing Kathie. Marlissa is back in the hospital. Poor baby! Get better sweet girl!
Tuesday my poor Jason went to get some lunch and locked the keys in his car, while it was running. He had to call a tow truck to come and break into his car. Total damage : $85.
Lizzy feel off the playground equipment and gave herself a pretty good bruise. We have watched it go from red to purple to yellow. Quite fascinating for the future nurse!
Wednesday Jessi got to go with Girl Scouts and have a tour of NAM and learn about the work they are doing there to stop hunger in our community. Afterwards they played at the park. She is enjoying GS!
Wednesday was Young Women in Excellence – and I forgot my camera – ugh! It was a lovely evening. We played a jeopardy game. Our table won! I am not a big fan of crowds and large gatherings of people, but add a touch of competition and I couldn’t help myself. Becca had a part to play as the Mia Maid Class President. It was a very nice evening.
Sammi making pirate treasure and Lizzy doing science experiments.
Friday was a special lunch for Lizzy, Jessi, and Joy at their schools. So exciting to have Thanksgiving lunch at school!
Friday Katie got to come and spend the evening with us. Here they are enjoying a pomegranate. That night Grandma and Grandpa Turpin came over to visit! They are visiting from Iowa for the holidays! We are excited to see them. And Lizzy had a fun camping-themed birthday party to attend. When I went to pick her up the Dad asked me which one was mine. I replied Lizzy and he said, “Oh, the active one!” Yep, that’s our Lizzy! Fun night!
