Bella and I are home! Our bathtub is complete. My girls are their crazy, creative selves. And Becca and I got to attend the YW Broadcast together! We have much to be thankful for this day!
This is our digital scrapbook for the year. Hey - it's faster than using scissors and pretty papers - and it actually gets done.

I’m not that old!
A couple of months ago I blogged ab0ut being told that my hair is no longer brown but officially grey. (and I know it is getting more grey and white)
Today I was eating lunch in the waiting area on 17th floor of Texas Children’s Hospital when another parent noticed me and being kind wanted to know if I was waiting for my grandchild’s surgery.
I was taken back by that. I kindly replied that I was on the 18th floor with my daughter there.
Have I aged that much? I am only turning 39 this month.

My Favorite Green
Today it worked out that I stayed home till noon before going to the hospital to check on Arabella. We decided to walk over to our neighborhood park for a while.
Did you know it’s Spring? I hadn’t noticed – my scenery the past month has been concrete, car bumpers, and medical stuff. When Bella went into the hospital, the trees were still bare. Now they are beautiful! They are covered with the first tender leaves of spring. That is my favorite shade of green – new spring leaf green. The azaleas are beautiful right now! Beautiful shades of pinks, white, and purples. I love spring. I can’t breathe from the pine pollen, but it is beautiful right now! Very good for the soul!
Everyone’s yard looks great – except ours. I hate to admit we haven’t had a Saturday to work on our yard since before we went to California to get Bella. My roses look good though. :)
Welcome Spring!

Bathroom Renovations
About two months ago we just about finished our tiling project in our bathroom. we have really enjoyed having the tile there. we have noticed lately that some areas of grout seemed perpetually wet. we found that our 40 year old tub and plumbing have decided that 39 years was long enough.
It was not our intention to start another portion of the bathroom renovation for at least another 4 or 5 years, and definitely not in the middle of an Adoption/Heart Surgery/Recovery.
Our bath decided for us! so here is the before and tear out pictures. we look forward to having our bathroom back!
the tear out picture is stitched together so you have a better view of the whole section.

Sweet Jessi
Sunday Joy turned 21 months old - very exciting! It's funny how we count months until the child turns 2, then we just stick with years. The kids wanted to know how many months old they were, so we counted. On March 2nd, 2009, Jessi turned 100 months old! That is a cool month birth mark, so I had Sammi take pictures.
Yesterday, while Arabella was having open heart surgery, Jessi fell and hurt her ankle. I got home around 1 AM to that exciting news - it's swollen and very yucky. So this morning before running back to the ICU, Jessi and I went to visit her doctor. It's either a torn ligament or a broken bone. Sigh. I have a prescription to go and get her an x-ray. So long as she stays off it, she isn't in much pain. Motrin every 6 hours, ice, and rest. poor sweet girl!

Happy Nothing Day!
Lizzy's Birthday Dinner
I finally found the pictures that Jason took of Lizzy's birthday dinner. What a crazy day that was. I'll leave them here for a day or two and then move them into the post about her birthday.
If you remember it was an unusual day to say the least. Jason was able to get off a little early and high tail it up to the farm. He picked up Lizzy, grabbed Bec, and then went to Chuck E Cheese. Then they went to YW New Beginnings (why Becca is dressed so nicely).
Looks like she had fun!
