We are in Missouri! Jason and I think that Kansas City reminds us of Los Angeles!
The roads are crazy and it's built into the hills. There are train yards along the freeways. The one thing missing was the traffic! Then we came upon the bridge spanning the Missouri River and we found the traffic! :)
So, to us Kansas City is the LA of the mid-west! It is very green and there are trees everywhere. It's really lovely.
This is a picture of the bridge crossing the Missouri River. It's hard to tell, but it's a really large bridge. Jessi's response to the bridge was, "look, it's like the bridge that George climbed to save the girl!" (from George in The Jungle) My children! They need more culture! :)
In Kansas and now in Missouri, there are so many cottonwood trees (at least that's what I think they are). There are pieces of cotton floating everywhere! Millions of them! Sammi says they look like feather fairies! Sammi has named the white feather fairy "Lily". She is the biggest of all the fairies.
Missouri has some beautiful wildflowers! I love how they grow along the sides of the freeway. I wish I could get good pictures! I feel somewhat handicapped at 70 MPH!
