Detour!

Remember those horrible floods along the Mississippi River?  They haven't totally gone away.  Before we left, Gary showed me an alternative route to Nauvoo.  Because he said a couple of little towns were still under water, at least they were two weeks ago.

We tried to follow the alternative route, but missed the exit to 94.  In our defense, it's a little two lane road surrounded by corn fields.  Jason had a tour bus barreling down on him, so stopping wasn't an option and there are no turn arounds out here.  We missed the turn off.  Oh well, we thought, we'll just keep on heading our original route.  It's been two weeks, right?

We got to see Gulfport - what's left of it.  Poor people!

So we are now headed to Fort Madison to cross down there.  We'll get there!
